The 2023 GAMMA Pickleball Classic tournament is almost here!
The 7th year of the GAMMA Classic will kick off on Friday, August 18th and run through Sunday the 20th. The GAMMA Classic is pickleball's premier indoor tournament and one of the largest, bringing in over 1,000 players and spectators in 2022.
Registration is now open and will run through July 31st. Players from beginner to professional will face off in singles and doubles. The weekend schedule is as follows:
Friday, August 18th: Men's Singles and Women's Doubles
Saturday, August 19th: Mixed Doubles
Sunday, August 20th: Women's Singles and Men's Doubles
This year, as pickleball gains popularity not only among players but also with spectators, the GAMMA Pickleball Classic will be live-streamed! If you can't attend in person, tune in to the GAMMA YouTube for on-court action and live commentary.
The Classic remains a committed partner of the Parkinson's Foundation of Western Pennsylvania. For the past 7 years, part of the tournament's proceeds will go to the foundation. PFWPA encourages Parkinson's patients to play pickleball as it has been shown to be effective in maintaining strength, increasing physical activity, and suppressing symptoms. It is also a social sport, allowing for continued community engagement. GAMMA is proud to support the Parkinson's Foundation of Western Pennsylvania through the 2023 GAMMA Classic!
The 2023 GAMMA Classic is USAPA sanctioned and will be presided over by several referees from the organization. Matches will be played on 40+ courts with temporary nets. $30,000 in prize money is up for grabs in the professional brackets!
See you in August!
