Teresa Tarn

Teresa Tarn comes from a diverse athletic background playing multiple sports. She chose to play softball at Michigan State University and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science teaching degree majoring in Physical Education and Exercise Science with an emphasis on sports psychology and kinesiology. She coached basketball, volleyball, and softball at the junior high and high school levels during her teaching career and is now retired to pursue her passion for Pickleball.

Teresa discovered pickleball 2.5 years ago and became addicted immediately! She entered her first tournament two weeks later and within a year was competing at 4.5 and 5.0 with success at every level. Her desire to excel led her to Punta Gorda, Florida and she now trains all winter pursuing her goals. She currently competes on the APP Senior Pro Tour where she is a ranked player, has won multiple medals and won the APP Sportsmanship award for the Senior Pro Tour. She also has two medals at the US Open in her first year. As a former teacher, coach and athlete, Teresa brings a special skill set to deliver her instruction. She demonstrates her passion and knowledge of pickleball daily through lessons, clinics and camps. She is a confident communicator with the ability to build positive relationships while teaching new skills and guiding the development of existing competencies with an emphasis on positivity. Teresa is born and raised in Michigan where she resides in the summer to spend time with her family. She is married with two boys.
